You know what we haven't shared in a long time? Upcoming events. As Northern California starts to open back up, we figured it was time to start promoting and sharing cool things happening near you. Here's a glimpse of Oakland's May events calendar!
May 8th | 12-2pm - Un-Cinco de Mayo Taco Tour
Did you know there are 17 taquerias in the Fruitvale neighborhood? At this event, you'll be tasting tacos from them all. Note the date—it's not this Wednesday (which is Cinco de Mayo). More info here.
May 8th & 9th | times vary - Original Pattern Brewing Co's 3-Year Anniversary
Care for a pint? Celebrate the employee-owned brewery's third year with a special anniversary IPA, dumplings, and prizes. More info here.
May 8th & 15th | 7:30pm - Lake Merritt HellaSecret Outdoor Comedy Pop-Up: “Black Laughs Matter”
Secret outdoor pop-up comedy night to support local black comics. Silent disco style, with tickets limited to just 50. More info here.
May 18th | 5-9pm - Taste of Temescal
More than 20 Temescal restaurants are participating in the delectable 11th annual event. Normally food costs are donated, but this year restaurants are being partially reimbursed, due to COVID struggles. Proceeds will benefit local schools, too. Such good reasons to stuff your face!
