How will you deal?
You already know to vote. Maybe like a record-breaking 93 million-plus others, you already have. (Live in Alameda County? Check here to make sure your vote was counted.)
Maybe you donated money, or went above and beyond, phone banking or helping others figure out how to get registered.
Now what? There is a very good chance we won't know the results on election night. So how will you deal?
Will you check 538 obsessively, or will you turn off the election coverage at a reasonable hour and read a book before bed instead?
Will you lament and panic if things start looking like they won't go your way, or will you make a plan of action for either result? (After all, even if your candidate of choice wins, we clearly have a lot of work to do as a nation.)
It's been an incredibly stressful and uncertain year. Don't add unnecessary stress to your life. Decide what your self-care will look like this week and beyond to get you through it.
And no matter what, don't give up the good fight.
